WB Disability Forum

Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD

06

August 2026

The event is aimed at disabled residents, their families/carers, and relevant organisations. There will be presentations on behalf of West Berkshire Council, service providers, and voluntary sector partners followed by a Q&A session. For this first meeting, we will be focusing on physical accessibility. The council would like to hear about residents' experience of their physical environment, the barriers they face, and how access and inclusivity can be improved, with feedback being used to help to shape services and infrastructure the district.

The event will be at the Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD, 1030-12:30 on 6 August.

You can find out more and register for the event here.

If you will be attending in a wheelchair / mobility scooter, then please select the appropriate option, as this will help to plan the room layout accordingly. There are up to 60 places available to those wishing to attend in person, but there is also the option to attend virtually via Teams. If you are unable to attend the event, then you will be able to watch the recording, which we will make available on YouTube.
